The Glenreagh Timber Festival celebrates all things timber. It also showcases hot rods, historical machinery and Harleys!
We attended a motorhome group meeting at the campground at Glenreagh last weekend and enjoyed not only the company of good friends but the very well organised Timber Festival that adjoined the campground.

I haven’t been to a market for quite some time and there would have been around 60 market stalls here featuring local fresh produce, clothing and of course timber products.
These sculptures were all made with a chain saw and were quite spectacular!

The bikies came in and made a fabulous display of ‘grunt’ …

The hot rods and vintage cars were proudly displayed…

And the old farm machinery and steam engines were chuffing and puffing beside proud owners who had meticulously restored them.

There’s nothing quite like the sound of a steam driven engine…
The highlight of my day, though, was watching the woodchopping competition. Some of these competitors started 40, 50 and even 60 seconds after the first man swung his axe and still managed to finish first or second!
As I wandered back to camp after a full day of entertainment a procession of tractors chugged past.
A lovely way to end my visit to the Glenreagh Timber Festival.
Where is Glenreagh?
