We’re off on our first road trip in the RV this year.

We’re heading to Macksville, in NSW, about 500 kms from our home in the Glass House Mountains. It’s where our motorhome rally begins on April 29. My partner Dave is the rally manager so we have to be there a week earlier to make sure everything is in readiness for the 300 motorhomes who have registered to attend.

It was a busy first day with our first stop only 60 kms from home to meet up with one of our group members, Monica at her favourite coffee shop on Sandgate Rd, Boondall. From there we split up, with Dave off to see his granddaughter for her 21st birthday in the RV and I headed off in the little red car (LRC) to the southern end of the Gold Coast to collect some special printing for the rally. Then we met up again as we crossed the border to New South Wales for lunch with Robyn, another friend who lives at Cabarita Beach (stop 3 on the map).
Our first night on the road was in a lovely roadside area at New Italy, the site of an Italian museum, gift shop and cafe.

We are on our way!
