A Christie Mystery

At Bertram’s Hotel, a novel by Agatha Christie, has morphed into a Glamping destination at Hartland in North Devon and has become our home for three or four days.

Day 11 in UK: The mystery is solved!

And as the doors of the bus swung open so did our mouths – what a transformation!

The old English bus that used to ply a route around the Greater London area is now a comfortable Glamping accommodation venue in remote Hartland.

Downstairs bedroom
Bathroom doorknob!
A loo with a view!
Up the stairs to kitchen, living and another bedroom
Kitchen & upstairs bedroom
Bar – aagh- all the bottles are empty!
Happy hour treats
The view from the top deck

Around the interior of the bus where once there would have been advertising and travel information it is now adorned with poster of Agatha Christie’s books and there is a library of them in the bus too.

Rich & Gwen got the upstairs and unfortunately didn’t have a great nights sleep as int rained all night and apparently was deafening on the roof.

Dave and I got the downstairs room and it was very warm, comfortable … and quiet! We had a great night’s sleep 💤
