Warm days and one’s thoughts turn to beer … and Beer . We’re off to the Jurassic Coast in Devon for some sun, sea and sand … make that pebbles 😀

Day 27: We left Westbury for a couple of nights in a B&B at Beer on The Jurassic Coast in Devon. It’s where the blue dot is!

What a pretty sight to drive to, down a steep hillside and there was a picturesque seaside village. The street is lined with colourful flower boxes and the beach is lined with boats, deck chairs and beach huts/bathing boxes.

Our accommodation is … quaint …

The room is veerrry small! This is it! No chair, no table, there is a small wardrobe and a compact bathroom.

Beer is very steep in places and houses dot the hillside

The sheer chalk cliffs are quite spectacular and enclose this small fishing harbour

I have to show you this unusual contraption in the sitting room. It’s a knife cleaner, has a big handle to turn at the bottom and several areas to place knives along the top.

Our accommodation is quirky and quaint and we’ve certainly enjoyed our time here even though the size of our room has been challenging at times – try getting out of bed for a midnight visit to the loo when you are sleeping against the wall! 😱
We went for a drive today (day 28) but I’ll tell you about that tomorrow. So now it’s goodnight from Beer and from me 🥱
