A Stunning Drive – The Causeway Coastal Road

We were blessed with some sunshine yesterday so we decided on the scenic coastal route to the Giant’s Causeway.

The road runs right by the sea

The road wound its way along the shoreline, where green fields met the sea, through little fishing villages and by spectacular rocky outcrops.

Our destination – Giant’s Causeway – and down came the rain! Luckily it cleared for us to see this World Heritage Site under the care of the National Trust.

Grimple & Grundle dwarfed by the stones at Giant’s Causeway

(See my previous post about it Here)

Here’s our trip today … this post only covers the route along the coast.

Map of our trip.

I’ll share our return journey with you later.
