Cassilis is one of those small country villages that is struggling to stay alive. Like many other similar towns it has opened up its Memorial Park and sports ground to encourage the RV traveller to stop over and spend some money in town.

As you enter the park a little church with an unusual shape catches your eye.

It sits behind a neatly maintained cemetery but my eye was drawn to the 4 sided ‘bump’ that protrudes from the building into the grounds.

Such a pretty building from just about every angle – except the main entrance !

I guess I was camped in the dead centre of town!
