A country show has it all!

I used to love the wood chopping competitions at country shows – or was it the muscly guys in singlets wielding the axe that appealed? Well today I discovered the chain saw competition at the Bulahdelah Show!

Looks easy, doesn’t it? Well, once they’ve made the wedge cuts around the log they have to split the wedges off and leave the centre post.

And the noise …..

It was easy to escape to the pavilions where flowers, produce, handcrafts, and baking had competed for the top prizes.

There was cuteness overload with these baby chicks

Cuteness continues with lambs, ducklings and rabbits ….

A country show wouldn’t be the same without horses and there plenty there showing off their skills.

This little one caught my eye though

The threatening rain held off, the locals turned up and there was fun to be had at the Bulahdelah Show.
