There’s no reason we can’t be happy for more than one hour is there?
Boaties have Sundowners, campers have Happy Hour. It happens anywhere from 4 o’clock onwards as people drift together for a drink and fellowship.
I find it tends to be friendlier and more welcoming when freedom camping rather than in a more structured caravan park setting although this one at Cunnamulla in Queensland encouraged everyone to attend by offering a camp oven dinner and bush poetry on certain nights.
Sometimes you only share Happy Hour with one other ….
Other times it might be a small group …..
And sometimes a massive crowd …
Its a great way to meet fellow travellers, find out about favourite camp sites, fix problems with motorhomes and caravans (and, after a few drinks, the world!) and form lovely friendships.
Cheers!
