Broken Creek Bush Camp, near Benalla Victoria, has become a bit of a favourite stop for me. This is where it sits on my planned trip north to Blackall in Queensland. To put things in perspective, that wiggly green line is some 2000 kilometres long.
It is a huge area to camp in and you can choose to be near the facilities, which includes one of the best camp kitchens I’ve ever seen …..
…. or away from the ‘busy’ area and camped ‘in the bush’.
The hosts are welcoming and friendly and constantly improving the venue. They also share their garden produce for a donation. Butternut pumpkins are obviously being harvested at the moment 😊.
Here’s the place to be on a cool night though.
Is it any wonder I keep returning to this camp?
Happy Campers
Broken Creek Bush Camp is about 11kms west of Benalla. There are toilets, hot water showers, water, camp kitchen, camp fires, dump point. $7.50 per person per night. It’s also a great place to base yourself for the NE Victoria Silo Art Trail.
