When we arrived at our hotel in Singapore’s Orchard Road last night we were greeted by an amazing display of Christmas lights.

So what else to do tonight but go to the light show at Gardens by the Bay.

Our night was capped off by our chatty cab driver whose love of his city shone through the stories he told us.
Fun facts:
- Singapore’s population is around 2.5 million
- You can drive around the whole of Singapore in about 2.5 hours
- Some of the most spectacular buildings are built on reclaimed land. More info here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_reclamation_in_Singapore
The taxi driver did a great sell job on us – we’ve both decided we need to come back some day to experience all that Singapore has to offer.

Did you visit Clarke Quay and Chinatown? … and having a beer on the roof of the Singapore Cricket Club is a great night out out….then eating some peanuts in the bar at Raffles Hotel on the way home…there is sooo much to do in Singapore…our favourite holiday destination.
