Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake didn’t disappoint and our timing was perfect to see the beautiful intense blue it becomes from November to March each year.

An informative board explains how the water arrives in the lake but doesn’t give any clue as to what makes it so blue.

Did you notice the locks in the photo above? They are attached all around the fencing of the observation platform. What a catchy thing to do!

There’s no way you can feel blue when nature paints with such perfect colours 😊
