A Taste of Mudgee

Not only is our motorhome group in Mudgee for our rally this week and next it. is also the Mudgee Food and Wine Festival at the same time, so Mudgee is buzzing with activities and visitors to the town.

Grapes were first grown around Mudgee from 1858, reaching a peak of 55 vineyards in 1893. There are now over 40 family owned cellar doors in the Mudgee region, which is the 3rd largest grape growing area in New South Wales.

The Mudgee Wine and Food Festival celebrates the abundant fresh produce from the area and the locally produced wines, from robust reds to delicate white wines. I couldn’t have picked a better time to visit!

Cheers! I’ll just have a taste of this to start with …..
