Changing Perspective

Usually I’m on land looking out to water. These last couple of days I’ve stayed with friends who have a houseboat and it’s given me the chance to look at things from a different perspective.

There’s Brutus the land beast behind Murray Mystique (the boat on the right)

I first met Tania and Paul in 2014/15 in Western Australia and we camped together a few times before going our separate ways. We have followed each other’s travels through Facebook and for all our other attempts to meet up the timing hasn’t been quite right. This time it happened!

It was a weekend for catch-ups as other friends, John and Jan, were also in Morgan.

From the front deck of the houseboat we watched the setting sun light up the cliffs.

And here’s how they looked up close from the boat, pock marked with little caves and towering above us.

It’s good to see things from a different perspective now and then. šŸ˜‰

Of course there’s always someone to spoil the serenity.

What a great weekend!
