In Kaniva, Victoria, they’ve painted the sheep’s back instead! All as a result of a fun community art project.
Fabulous painted sheep graze the Main Street (the long paddock), and other sheep art work adorns the walls of buildings.
And look at this cheeky reversal of roles!
It’s often the quirkiness and the community initiative that makes it happen that make these little country towns so appealing to me.
I thought this little garden was a great example of how a member of the local community was recognised for her, I would imagine labour of love, caring for public gardens.
Glenys’ garden
The sheep, the wall paintings and this little garden all add up to giving me, on this brief visit, a good feeling about the community of Kaniva.
