The Swell Festival takes place annually at Currumbin Beach on the beautiful Gold Coast – and I certainly picked a perfect day to view the sculptures that are installed along the beach front.
The sand was white and squeaky as I pushed my feet through it to move from one sculpture to the next, the sky and the sea were a magnificent blue and a gentle breeze took the sting out of the day.

As you can see there was a variety from the weird to the wonderful!
It was hard for children to look but not touch …
My magic day shared with a good friend was topped off seeing whales out to sea slapping their flukes and breaching as they leapt through the waves.
That old saying sums it up perfectly – “I wouldn’t be dead for quids!”
