Tarrying in Talgarno

For the next couple of weeks I’m looking after Charlie, a chocolate Labrador and a couple of chooks at a beautiful property near the shores of Lake Hume in Victoria.

Say hello to Charlie!

And here’s Cackling Rosie and Sweet Caroline 🐔🐓

I approached the property from NSW and drove across this bridge to enter Victoria on the way to my friend’s home.

The property has some lovely old established gardens and shady verandahs draped with grape vines and wisteria.

My favourite place to enjoy a glass of wine 🍷

An old ramshackle building on the street front was the original Talgarno Post Office but looking at its condition today I’m sure it must have been many years ago.

Old Talgarno Post Office.

I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences here with you and some photos of this beautiful environment I’m so lucky to enjoy.

It’s breakfast time! Hurry up!
