The Golden Wheatbelt West

Wheat, golden fields of wheat, as far as the eye can see. Since leaving Perth we have been travelling east through

one of the world’s largest wheat growing areas, covering nearly 155,000 square kilometres or nearly 64,000 square miles of countryside.

As you drive through this area the wheat fields stretch to the horizon in every direction. Eventually the fields of gold become the goldfields – and that will be our next adventure!
