Biblical stories tell of twelve apostles but the Victorian Coastline along the Great Ocean Road now has only seven!

12 of these rugged rock formations originally prompted their name but some have since crumbled into the sea. You can see the remains of one in the foreground.

They are building a new viewing platform and this next photo is taken from that angle.

It’s many years, (probably over 30!) since I travelled the Great Ocean Road and there is a lot more infrastructure to support tourism and allow us all to view these special landmarks. Parking for the 12 Apostles was on the other side of the road with a tunnel walkway under the road to the cliff top pathway and viewing areas.

Spectacular! ✅ That’s one more thing ticked off the bucket list!
