Although the weather hasn’t always been kind to us lately, I’m happy to say when we visited the Port of Sale in Victoria recently there was no storm!

As a matter of fact it was a glorious day, with blue skies, sunshine and barely a breath of wind… it made a lovely change to so many grey, wet and windy days we’ve had.

It was also a surprise to find a port in Sale as it is not on the coast. It’s a river port developed in the late 1880’s. It’s now a hub of cultural activity, a picnic park for families to enjoy, moorings for colourful boats and a decent café overlooking all the activities from the modern library and gallery.

We stocked up our supplies in Sale and headed to a free campsite nearby at Marlay Point then on to another freebie at Fishers Landing, Perry Bridge. Happy travellers are we! 😊🚐

Nice pictures. They make me want to visit. 🙂
