There’s No Bed Like Home

After 66 nights ‘sleeping around’, our bed at home was a welcoming sight. Unpacking can wait – bed beckons!

Our flight home was uneventful but the last leg from Taiwan to Brisbane was filled with coughing sneezing 🤧 passengers who generously shared their germs with me – so four days later I am finally well enough to get out of bed! 😱 And after dodging the Covid bullet for so long – well, it’s hit me! 😷

I’m doped up on medication 💊 and starting to feel almost human again – even well enough to enjoy a g&t tonight.

Anyhow, I wanted to share with you a couple of photos I took of Stonehenge from the passenger seat of our hire car on the way to Heathrow last Friday.

I was thrilled to get such good shots from a moving car. Mind you, the traffic did slow at that point so we weren’t flying past at Motorway speed!

How’s Dave you ask? Thank goodness he has been well while I have been so sick, but … my germs have finally spread to him, so while I’m on the mend he has succumbed to the dreaded lurgy and it’s my turn to look after him. We’re not the healthiest household at the moment but we are home, we are taking care of each other and we know we are going to feel fit and healthy again soon.

Grimple enjoyed the flight home and is looking forward to our next adventure. Me too!

  1. Welcome home Rosemary and covid seems to be a gift many of us are given when returning from a trip. The good thing was not to be ill while travelling. No place like home as you say. Please visit when travelling down this way and we would love to meet Dave.
