I’m in Nagambie, Victoria where one of Australia’s most famous racehorses, Black Caviar was born in 2006.

The town has erected a statue to this mighty horse on the banks of Lake Nagambie in the centre of town. Around the base is a potted history of the amazing record of 25 undefeated starts and the honours awarded to Black Caviar during her reign.

Black Caviar – may one day be forgotten as a favourite at the track but will always be a favourite in Nagambie.
