These paths in Warracknabeal wind around street corners surrounded by bricks immortalising local families with their names etched into the surface.
I looked but couldn’t find one for this town’s favourite son, singer Nick Cave. (of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds fame). Perhaps he didn’t need a brick as his name was proudly displayed on a huge board near the Post Office. Now, there’s an interesting building!
I think it looks like a giant gingerbread house, or perhaps something William Shakespeare would live in. Do I like it? Yes I do, even though it looks out of place in this dry Mallee town.
