Martin’s Bend is a huge camping area a couple of kms out of Berri, South Australia.

Although it spreads along the banks of the Murray River you can’t camp on the rivers edge as it is a green grassy park for picnickers and day trippers.

There’s barbecues, bins, toilets, shade or sunshine whatever you prefer. A boat club at the entry to the camping area probably means a fair bit of noisy speed boat activity on the river on weekends.

This is about as close to the river as you can camp but wherever you choose you would not be far away. Only a half dozen vans here at the moment, plenty of space and only $5 a night. Berri nice 😊
