As Covid_19 restrictions ease we now have the freedom to travel within Queensland. We didn’t expect this to happen so soon but it’s a welcome sign that things are on the improve.

I’ve jumped at the chance to resume my travelling life, packed my little campervan and headed off.

Day 1

Calliope Riverside

You can camp on both the south and north banks – I’m on the northern side as it wasn’t as crowded as the south. It’s a freedom camp with basic toilet facilities, loads of space to spread out and a water view.

I’m very grateful I have had a home base with my nephew and his family for the last few weeks as we rode out the toughest corona restrictions, but I do love my travelling lifestyle.
