Corroboree Rock

Corroboree Rock

Another detour on the way to Trephina Gorge took me to Corroboree Rock, although all the research I have done to find out more about it suggests it was never a corroboree site for the local indigenous people due to lack of water in the area – so I’ve got no idea how it got it’s name!

Today it is a picnic area with an information board about bush tucker and an easy walk around the base of the rock.

The rock itself is a dolomite formation and you can read more about it here

Can you see the little window in the rock?

No corroboree, no secret tribal business … but it was a bright 🎶 bright 🎶 bright 🎶 sunshiny day 🎶🎶.
