It’s been a spectacular few days winding our way along the wildflower trail in Western Australia but, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. I’m sure these aren’t the last wildflowers we’ll see as we are staying in this area for another couple of weeks waiting for motorhomes to be serviced and minor repairs done.

I’m ready to stop in one spot for a few days, perhaps get my sketch book and paints out, or read a book that doesn’t try to identify the flowers we have seen. As much as I’ve loved everything I’ve seen I think I’ve reached wildflower saturation point!
Here’s some brightly coloured fungus for a change 😂

And some not so bright!

Today we stopped for a coffee break in Mullewa at Helen Ansell’s pop up gallery focused on flowers. I loved some of the art but with no walls to hang it on I wasn’t tempted to buy.

Tomorrow’s travels take us through a little town called Mingenew. Several people have raved about the pies at the bakery there so I’m planning on being able to give you a first hand review in my next blog 🥧
I’ll leave you with one of my favourite photos from the last few days … and thanks for wandering the wildflower trail with me 🌸
