State of Origin night at the Yaraka Hotel, the big screen is hung out in the beer garden and the fridges are stocked with xxxx. Go the Maroons!

It’s a hard fought series, but this year the Blues win. That means that the Maroons are now feeling blue 🥴.

The official game might have had world class pre-match entertainment but our Yaraka entertainment was pretty special too. You see Barry, one of the campers out the back, warmed up his bagpipes and warmed up the crowd with some stirring renditions.

The mood was already set for a fun night when Jack and Elaine, still more of our outback campers, turned up at the bar with an array of hats for us all to wear.

Probably more suited to the Melbourne Cup than a rugby match …. does it matter?

Both teams were cheered on loudly by their supporters but the Blues cheer squad won the contest on the night.
