We’re camped at Lake Proserpine about 20 km out of the town of Proserpine in North Queensland and it is absolutely stunning here!

I’m looking straight out to the lake from under our awning. The sun is sparkling on the water, swans are floating by with their fluffy cignets, there are flotillas of ducks that moor themselves just off shore. And there are geese!!!

Mum & Dad are very noisy but look how cute their babies are 🥰

We have only got a night here, but I’d be happy with a week. With views like this and the fact that the lake is stocked with barramundi fingerlings, plus the abundant bird life, I’m sure I could keep myself occupied for several more days.
